Ha-Sodot (eng. The Secrets): Excellent movie. Heavily recommended. About two girls in a very conservative jewish community.
"In The Secrets, two brilliant young women discover their own voices in a repressive orthodox culture where females are forbidden to sing, let alone speak out. Naomi, the studious, devoutly religious daughter of a prominent rabbi, convinces her father to postpone her marriage for a year so that she might study at a Jewish seminary for women in the ancient Kabalistic seat of Safed. Naomi's quest for individuality takes a defiant turn when she befriends Michelle, a free-spirited and equally headstrong fellow student. When the pair encounters a mysterious, ailing foreigner with a disturbing past named Anouk (the iconic French actress Fanny Ardant) they begin a risky journey into forbidden realms." 7.4 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0782867/

Mädchen in Uniform: Classic. Tremendously charismatic actors. For 1931, groundbreaking. hev. rec. also.
"German film in which a sensitive girl is sent to an all-girls boarding school and develops a romantic attachment to one of her teachers." 7.7 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0022183/

Un Amour de Femme: This one just draws you in from the start. The actors bring it. Great movie. I like the lightness and breath in French films.
"Jeanne attends the birthday party of a friend of her husbands. There she meets a dancer named Marie and there is instant chemistry between them." 6.5 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386092/

Episode: "Instinct". When I see myself cringing everytime Eliza tries to act, when the plotlines look like a complete mess, when the show has no direction or point, I just don't know why the hell am I watching? Maybe Summer Glau will bring some interesting storylines, but until that, I'm done. It just completely sucked.

Watched Stargate. The writing is mostly crap. Severe lack of defined female characters or of color. Is it really that difficult to write in a complex character who's not a white male? Seems so. Still found the show generally very entertaining. Robert Carlyle was solid. The nerdy guy who was hired through a video game to work in one of the most demanding jobs in the world was mostly boring and bland.

It doesn't take much to entertain me. Cool space ships, explosions, pseudo-science, female beauty. Stuff like that. Looks like SGU will keep up the good tradition of extremely shallow entertainment. Will watch Mad Men for brain food.

...and then I started the first episode and was *spellbound*.

I was sure they killed the gay subtext because it got a bit too much attention in season 1...

LOOOOOOL no, not at all. I have tears in my eyes for too much laughter of how damn gay it is. I simply can't quite believe it.

Prince Arthur without a shirt calling for Merlin. "The only one allowed into his chambers is his servant." Okayyyy...

To be fair perhaps it's just completely platonical. Hmm, ok perhaps not. It's still a nice love story none the less. Merlin fighting to get some recognition from Arthur and hoping that someday Arthur would accept him for who he is and see his true heart and what he has sacrificed.

The other elements in this show. They're pitch perfect. Everything in this episode just rocks. Perhaps it's very boring to some people but for me it was just *OM NOM NOM*

Only another show that has this lively and light a character dynamics, hilarious and perfect pacing is One Piece.

Yeah, and it was quite dramatic and all. There's a lot of action, fighting, general mayhem and sorcery about. Highly entertaining stuff. Can't wait for the whole Morgana plot to start because I reaaaally like watching Katie McGrath on screen and for the wrench it will throw into the whole storyline. I'm also a complete and utter sucker for gothic themes in storytelling and I think this will bring them plenty.

Just because I think Gwen needs some recognition and more stuff to do shall also mention her. Her bumping into Arthur with her bumpers was steamy. I don't think the show has really grasped the surface of Angel's acting abilities.

Damn, the whole season 2 is looking to be A+ so far. Great expectations.

A review where I try to justify why I didn't really enjoy it that much.

The graphics and the engine in this one are mind blowingly awesome. The fight system works well and looks impressive. The production values are through the roof, 11/10. It's an amazing professional game production accomplishment. The third person camera view works very well. Is it an amazing game? IMO no, not at all.

Batman can shoot grappling ropes and generally move around like spiderman. Punch through predetermined walls with explosives. Hack predetermined locks. Hmm, I was making a list of cool gadgets that Batman has but that's about it. There's very little freedom. Everything is very predetermined and linear. Oh, yeah he can also jump around like the guy from the original Prince of Persia, or Lara Croft if you want to think it in 3D.

I thought the story was rather boring and bland, even if the voice actors were excellent. Dude runs around an island from one house to the next, each house has some boss that he fights. I just can't immerse myself into this if the story sucks, and it kinda does. I know that there was some strange goo and Joker was involved in it, going for world domination or something. But none of this was directly relevant to the gameplay, so it was just nonsense. Perhaps I'm spoiled rotten by Bioware and the likes. Perhaps I've just read too many good books.

This game is just not very memorable. It also has something that is the bane of all 3D combat/sneaking games: VENTS. THE BLOODY AIR VENTS. They are a plague.

I had the same problems with Bioshock (although it had less vents!). Perhaps I'm just completely fed up with shooters since Half-Life 2.

7/10 for sheer diamond hard production values. The game really brought nothing new to the genre; just a great combination of what's already there. If they had put more effort into writing, immersion, character design, immersion, overall story-like feel, immersion and flow, it might as well be 8.5/10. Just brilliant graphics and engine do not the whole immersive experience make.

Gameplay... This game is mostly just mashing a couple of buttons and reacting to a couple of flashing signs once in a while and hoping that everything goes ok. There seems to be very little challenge or skill in any of this.

I really wouldn't waste my time with it if I knew beforehand what I was about to play. Perhaps my standards are too high. But then again, I've played some games that've left me smiling like a fool (Portal for example).

This game just makes me bored. It feels like I'm working to see few more cool scenes and characters, which is not how games are supposed to be. Games are supposed to be all about fun gameplay, not of other frivolous things.

What was really cool about this game though, that I think I didn't actually kill anyone in it. They were just all beaten to unconscious state. This was all kinds of awesome.

Young teens will probably gobble this up like hotcakes but for me it was very meh experience.

I'm calling it right now.

Although it might be just because of the two very lovely ladies who have excellent chemistry. I adore both Christina Cox and Laura Harris. Hope this show stays afloat. It's not anything special but I'd really like to see how their relationship progresses.

Admitting that I don't really remember much anything about the show itself. It is depressingly forgettable.

God, I can't be shipping characters in a TV show. This is pathetic. But I am, I so am.

It's been known for a while but something worth mentioning...

Though the latest book is taking ages, this television production is still being made of one of the greatest series of books ever to grace the minds of blessed readers; called The Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin. So many brilliant characters, so many twisted diabolical plots, so much despair, so much intrigue, backstabbing, tragedy, pain, death, mutilation, decadence, corruption, apathy, sadism and unexpected turns of plot that leave you gasping. Brilliance.

Some casting news:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/40001
